What do you talk about?

In the two clips below we show two approaches to dealing with the information that you are presented with during a lesson. The first clip shows some instruction about crossings and signals - the second clip points out some of the things that the instructor did not talk about on the first pass.

The information that you emphasize during the lesson will depend upon the needs of your learner - not on how good you are at spotting hazards! On the first clip the instructor is focussing the learners attention on the basic routine for crossings and signals - it would have been impossible for him to do this and to talk about other things that were going on as well. If he had included everything, the learner would have been overloaded.

The first clip is likely to be the kind of tuition you might be doing with a learner who is on a first pedestrian crossing lesson - the second would be more relevant to a more experienced learner.
