In both learner and ADI driving tests the candidate has to answer 'Show me, tell me' questions. These questions relate to the operation of vehicle controls and regular car-care.
When working as an instructor you will need to teach your learners about basic car checks for both their safety and their driving tests - these lessons provide an excellent opportunity for you to complete the daily and/or weekly checks on your own training vehicle.
The Tell me questions include some regular vehicle checks.
Your Part-Twi examiner will ask you:
3 ‘tell me’ questions (where you explain how you’d carry out a safety task) at the start of your test, before you start driving
2 ‘show me’ questions (where you show how you’d carry out a safety task) while you’re driving
In addition to knowing the information in the video above you also need to be familiar with all of the controls and warning lights in your vehicle. To learn more about warning lights see the information on the DriverActive 'Controls' page - click here to visit the page now where you will find information about at least 64 warning and information lights.
