Welcome to February’s ‘Discussion with the Industry’ ADI Support and Development Webinar from SmartDriving in association with ADI NJC.

This month we will be talking to Ian Aspinall – UKROEd Business Manager @ National Driver Offender Retraining Scheme – about ‘Driver Offender Retraining’ (‘Speed Awareness’) Courses and, Sue Duncan of the ADINJC on how they could benefit you and your business.

Monday 18th February 2019 – 8pm.

Speakers:

Ian Aspinall

Ian served as a police officer for 32 years, mainly in road policing for the Greater Manchester and Devon and Cornwall forces. He was the officer in charge of road policing in Devon and Cornwall Police, and has a passion for road safety largely due to the unacceptable number of personal experiences he and his officers have endured involving dealing with the aftermath of death and injury on the roads over many years.

Ian was instrumental in the development of the Driver Rectification Scheme in 1991 (now the National Driver Offender Retraining Scheme) and has been involved throughout its evolution, right up to the present.

A BSc. (Hons) graduate of the Open University, he was awarded a lifetime honorary fellowship of the Institute of Road Safety Officers in recognition of his work on driver offender retraining schemes.

Sue Duncan (General Secretary @ADINJC)

Sue has been an ADI since 2000, and involved with delivery of NDORS courses for about 9 years, including National Speed Awareness Course, National Driver Awareness Course (now Safe & Considerate Driving), and What’s Driving Us.

As well as being Secretary of the ADINJC, Sue is involved with the Big Learner Relay, and is a Trustee for The Honest Truth road safety charity.
