Last year, John and the whole SmartDriving Team were most proud and humbled to win 2 awards; nominated by and voted for by ADIs – making us the ONLY company to win MULTIPLE AWARDS!

SmartDriving have always enjoyed a reputation for quality, dedication and excellence that comes with references from none other than the former Chief Driving Test Examiner, Trevor Wedge and the Authors of The Driving Instructor’s Handbook-to name just 2 – but these awards, voted for by our customers, peers, colleagues and friends, meant the most.
The Prestigious Industry ‘Golden L’ Award Trophy
2014’s Golden L Fresh Awards 2014 ceremony kicked off in earnest on Sunday 23rd February at Worcester’s Sixways Stadium, with and evening of celebration and entertainment.
The bespoke Golden Ls had over 10,000 individuals voting with over 15,500 votes cast in just 6 weeks.
People within the driving instructor industry and the general public grabbed the chance to honour people and organisations with their votes.

Blaine Walsh from driving-instructor.tv said “It is a pleasure to be working with Fresh Start ‘14 and hosting the Golden L Fresh Awards to recognise organisations and individuals that enhance our industry and make our roads safer. We offer advice and training for learner drivers, potential driving instructors and on-going training for qualified driving instructors. Our emphasis is on increasing and improving instructor skills to ensure our pupils learn a skill for life rather than just for the driving test. To be able to recognise our unsung heroes of the driving industry is a privilege.”
The Fresh Start ’14 conference was run by driving instructors for driving instructors with companies and associations represented to give information as well as choice. This has been done to ensure our industry remains an excellent service to the public with continuous personal development for instructors.
