Approaching Junctions To Turn Right: Step 2 - Giving A Demonstration

Approaching junctions to turn right: Giving a demonstration

Your goal:

To ensure that your pupil is familiar with the full hazard routine and can use it to turn right from main roads into side roads.

Lesson's goals:

These goals are additional to those for approaching to turn left:

  • Giving priority to approaching vehicles when turning right (when necessary)

  • Adopt a good waiting position when giving way to approaching vehicles on right turns

  • Steer at the correct time to turn right (point of turn)

  • Turn right without cutting the corner

Note that these are generic lesson goals. Individual learners will have specific personal goals and other goals related to different aspects of learning but still relevant to the lesson. The lesson goals shown here are to help you to break down the process and skill into it's component parts.
