The lesson has no moved through three very clear 'phases':

1. Briefing and the drive out to the start of the 'main theme' route
2. Introduction to the main theme and practise with limited task demand.
3. Change of plan to fix an error followed by slight increase in the task demand for the main theme

Now its time to 'take things up a gear' by moving the lesson onto roads with a higher speed limit. John is ready for this as he has coped well with the earlier 50 mph roads.
