The basics

Teaching moving off and stopping

We've already stressed the importance of getting the basics right for Part-Two. Very experienced drivers have been known to fail for basic 'learner type' errors such as observation faults or a lack of smoothness (control faults).

But...

There is another reason for thinking about the basic details of driving while preparing for Part-Two.

By the time you start studying for Part-Three you need to know driving 'inside out' in order to determine your lesson content - allowing you time (at Part-Three) to concentrate on lesson delivery skills rather than the content of lessons.

Next: Step 3, Introducing the Prepare, Observe, Move (POM) routine.
