Self-motivation

You might be wondering why are we thinking about how you made your decision to become a driving instructor?

The answer is simple and can be summed up in two words... SELF - MOTIVATION

In order to motivate yourself for learning it is important to remember what you are learning for – obviously you are learning so that you can become a driving instructor. But what else? Maybe, you want to achieve success so that you can have the things that being a driving instructor will bring for you and which you hoped for and dreamed of when you made your decision to start training.

Motivation exercise No. 1

Your first exercise is to simply consider the SINGLE most important thing that becoming a driving instructor will bring you.

Think about this for a few moments now and then download and print out the first Downloadproject sheet by clicking on the link below.

CLICK the download arrow to download and print your first project worksheet.

Write your single main thought about the most important thing that you will gain at the top of the right-hand column ('Moving Towards') as a brief statement – twenty words or fewer.

If you have more than one 'main' reason take some time to consider which is the most important - there is only one 'most important'! (It can sometimes help if you rate the thoughts on a scale of one to ten).

Do nothing else with the worksheet at this point. You will, however, need it again soon.

To get maximum value from your study and training it is important to have a clear idea of all the benefits you will get by qualifying. This is why the next few pages are dedicated to helping you to understand what motivates you and how to maximise your motivation...
