How smooth is your driving?

This unit is a project designed to help you gauge just how smooth your driving is becoming.

Now that you are developing your starting, stopping and gear changing skills to a more advanced standard, you need to check just how well you are doing.

This means that if you don't have someone sitting next to you to offer feedback about how smooth you are driving you need a way to be as objective as you can about your own performance.

This project gives you a method of measuring (and perfecting) smoothness. It is a simple driving game that you will have a bit of fun with!

The project is named 'Swan Lake' for a couple of reasons.

  • You should achieve the grace of a swan

  • You should avoid ending up with a lake in your passenger footwell (read on!)

Read the brief driving tips Step 2 before going out on the road and completing the project.

If you have not already done so, print and complete your Training Outcomes Worksheet for this unit - your outcomes will relate to your targets for smoothing out your driving.
