Commentary driving
This unit contains information about your first commentary driving practise session.
As we emphasised in the first commentary driving unit, if this is your first 'formal' experience of commentary driving it is best to stick to basics to start with.
As with all good learning you will start with the 'simple' and then later move to more 'complex' ideas.
In this instance 'simple' is just calling out the name of road signs as you drive around, what could be easier than that!
For example, if you saw the sign pictured on the right you would say (out loud) something like "Side road coming up on the left" or "Junction on the left".
If you have not already done so, print and complete your Training Outcomes Worksheet for this unit - you might wish to revise your outcomes before doing your first commentary practise drive.
Next: Read the project notes in Step 2 and watch the demonstration video in Step 3 before going out on your first commentary practise drive.
